Following my visit to Karekare Beach, I went to Piha Beach on that same day. These beaches were located along the same coast. The big rock located there in the photo is called the 'Lion Rock'. It looks like a lion lying on the beach. By the way, it is a black sand beach. This beach is also well knowned to surfers.Thursday, October 4, 2007
