Yarra River, Melbourne

Although Melbourne is situated on the shores of one of the largest bays on the Australian coast, the city's main water feature is the Yarra River. That's because the city grew from the banks of the Yarra and even today the focus for the city is still very much on a one-kilometre section of the river (http://www.melbourne.com.au/yarra.htm).

The photo was shot during my trip to Melbourne in 2006. I love Melbourne. It's just so relaxing. Although it's a big city, it doesn't have terrible traffic. I don't feel the kind of congestion in some other big cities I had been to. It's definitely a place for living.

Flinders Street Railway Station, Melbourne

Flinders Street Railway Station at the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets is the oldest city station in Australia, completed in 1910. The first station on this site opened in 1854! Flinders street is the busiest suburban railway Station in the southern hemisphere even after the completion of the city loop railway subway with three stations in a subway and linking Spencer street to suburban train trips. Its 700 metre main platform is the longest in the country. The station is at the heart of Melbourne's extensive suburban rail system. Flinders Street Station is 'the' meeting place for Melburnians, expressed simply as "meet me under the clocks", a reference to the clocks above the main entrance. (http://www.onlymelbourne.com.au/)
The photo above was shot during my trip to Melbourne in June 2006.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, Australia

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the main crossing of Sydney Harbour carrying rail, vehicular, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The dramatic water vista of the bridge together with the nearby Sydeny Opera House is an iconic image of both Sydney and Australia. The 75th anniversary of the bridge was celebrated on 18/3/2007.
This photo was shot during my trip to OZ in June 2006.

Sydney Opera House, Australia

I visited Sydney Opera House when I was backpacking alone in Australia during the Winter (June-July) of 2006. It's a fantastic piece of work. I love it!

The ‘Beehive’ is the popular name for the Executive Wing of the parliamentary complex because of the building’s shape. This is where the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers have offices, and where the Cabinet meets.

Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

Tea plantations is one of the must-see features of Cameron Highlands. No trip to Cameron Highlands would be complete without a trip to the tea plantations. This is one of the main attraction that most people visit in the highlands. Photo above is shot during my visit there with my family end of last year.

Lake Taupo, New Zealand

This is a photo shot during my trip to Tongariro National Park. Taupo is located somewhere in the middle of journey. For your information, the size of Lake Taupo is the same as teh size of Singapore. Cool? In other words, this lake is pretty big; if not, Singapore is pretty small. Hehe...

Piha Beach, New Zealand

Following my visit to Karekare Beach, I went to Piha Beach on that same day. These beaches were located along the same coast. The big rock located there in the photo is called the 'Lion Rock'. It looks like a lion lying on the beach. By the way, it is a black sand beach. This beach is also well knowned to surfers.

Galeria Perdana, Langkawi

This is one of the atrium in Galeria Perdana, Langkawi, Malaysia.

This is a museum which displays all the gifts and the awards that were presented to the Prime Minister Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamed and his wife. The extraordinary displays exhibits a large collection of almost 2500 pieces ranging from crystal to automobiles. The oriental design of the building is a fest for the eyes in contrast to the interior that provides a tranquil ambience. The vast array of collection is something very nice to enjoy.

I'm proud to present you the cityscape of Auckland during sunset. However, I couldn't remember when I took this photo, it was either 2005 or 2006. I think it was 2005. This photo was shot from somewhere near Mission Bay, Auckland.
